Father God, We come to You just as we are — not to master Your Word, but to be shaped by it.
Thank You for the gift of Proverbs —for wisdom that meets us in ordinary life, in our words, our work, our choices, and the quiet places no one else sees.
As we open these pages, slow us down. Still our busy minds. Soften our hearts.
Teach us what it means to fear You — not with fear that shrinks us, but with reverence that orders our lives rightly, placing You first.
Holy Spirit, awaken what is already within us. Reveal what only You can reveal. Guide our steps, correct our ways, and shape us into people who live wisely and love well.
May this be a year not just of reading, but of becoming. Not perfection — but posture. We offer You this time, this year and our willingness to be taught.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
